LA Pierce College held its 78th Graduation Ceremony this week and three of our LAPC Theatre students received their diplomas at the annual event. Congratulations to Haley Anglin, Jayson Hernandez-Guzman, and Rocco Perndenza (who all appeared in our most recent production, "A Flea. in Her Ear." Also pictured are Theatre graduates Christian Milo and Natalia Zakaria. We thank them for sharing their talents with our department and wish them all much success in their future endeavors. They're all pictured here with Performing Arts Chairperson and Theatre Professor Michael Gend.

Today we celebrated our amazing theatre students at our Annual LAPC Theatre Awards, where we honored our 2025 American College Theatre Festival (ACTF) Award nominees, as well as our scholarship award winners (who were honored Saturday at the LA Pierce College Student Awards Banquet) and our outstanding students from our Theatre Arts classes. Here are the ACTF nominees who all participated in the annual ACTF Conference last February and were presented with their certificates today:
Frankenstein:

FALL, 2026 AUDITIONS ANNOUNCEMENT!!
Open auditions for our two Fall Semester, 2026 plays -- Steven Dietz's highly-acclaimed adaptation of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" and the Tony Award-winning "Appropriate," by Branden Jacobs-Jennings -- will be held next week!
Auditions for "Dracula" will be held on Tuesday, May 26 from 4-6pm. Please prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue. Callbacks by invitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2 from 4-6pm. Auditions for "Appropriate" will be held on Wednesday, May 27 from 2-5pm. Please prepare a 1 minute monologue. Callbacks by invitation will be held on Friday, May 29 from 2-5pm.
