Our final Senior Feature - Yuliia!
She is someone who has consistently put in the work and grown each season. A truly versatile dancer, she lights up the stage in Hip-Hop and Jazz Funk while bringing grace and elegance to ballet and pointe. Her easygoing, grounded nature and steady dedication have made her such a wonderful presence at the studio, both in class and onstage.
Yuliia, it has been such a joy watching your growth as a dancer and artist! Congratulations! ✨

From Yuliia:
Hi Im Yuliia!! Im currently a senior at Inglemoor high school and an avid Lord of the Rings fan. My favorite styles have always been Jazz Funk and Hip Hop, but I also adore ballet(and dabble in contemporary). I actually started dancing quite late in my book in 5th grade, before then, Id experimented with all sorts of different hobbies including Taekwondo, but I eventually came back to dance. I had taken a first class when I was probably about seven: Hip hop, and surprisingly, I didnt really like it. Despite this, my mom had always loved dancing, even when circumstances didnt always permitted, so she was insistent that me and my sister give it another try and Im so happy she did.
In 2019, I took my first classes at Woodinville Dance Academy: Hip hop, Contemporary, Acro and Ballet, and I adored it. Unfortunately, around COVID, operations went online, (though we stuck around for the zoom calls squished into the confines of my living room). For the next few years, I went to several different studios, a really important process for learning to adapt to new teaching styles, but once I heard that WDA was continuing its legacy though FFB, I found myself happily rejoining. I’ve only been back for 3 years, only one of which I’ve been on troupe but nonetheless its been perfectly enough time for me to get to bond with everyone.
Next year I plan on attending the Univeristy of Oregon, currently with a major in art, though I hope to explore my options of other fields such as Architecture or Art and Technology. It’ll definetly be an adjustment to not be able to dance as regularly as I do now, but I do hope I’ll be able to continue dance one way or another!
