Schmitz Haunted Yard

Sorry Batman. Even Halloween must come to an end for the year. We are looking for volunteers to help take down our haunted yard.

This weekend Nov 8-9, we will put away the front yard, leaving only the black facade wall standing. If there is still time left, we will start disassembling the haunted house.

Next weekend Nov 15-16, we will take down the black facade wall. If there is still time left, we will continue disassembling the haunted house.

The final weekend Nov 22-23 may be optional if we finish putting everything away by the 16th. Otherwise we will finish putting away the haunted house that weekend.

Hi there, we are the Schmitz family with the !!

INFO: The haunted house part on the side of the house is only open for Halloween night starting at 7PM. This is because we have actors inside the haunted house (they are not allowed to touch anyone) thats a bit scary. Anyone is welcome to stop by nights 7-9 to watch the yard displays and wander around the driveway. Rain permitting of course. Our house is on the corner of Hedges Run and Parliment Drive. This year we will have the trick or treat line separate from the haunted house line. The trick or treat line will start on Hedges Run and will have candy and a short not as spooky tunnel for the younger kids or anyone not wanting to go inside the haunted house.
The haunted house line will start on Parliament to keep more people off of
Hedges Run which has more traffic. If any adults want to help us with line control we would appreciate it! Text me (Lynn) at (571) 264-2203 — also ask any questions you like and I’ll answer them!

I know many of you are waiting for my tutorial on using BrightAuthor to program your BrightSign Video players. I have finished the script but not the video. Halloween has caught up to me and says "NOW!".

Fortunately there is a video available that is very similar to the one I have written. The main difference is that my video loops through the various scenes in a repeating pattern, while in the other video triggers are used to activate the various scenes.

Halloween Mansion raising is my favorite start to roll in the Halloween spirit. I want to thank everyone who came out this weekend to help raise it or even stop to say hello. It was a hot, steamy weekend and I thank you sincerely for your time and energy. You help make this possible every year!
