Plenty of fun for February!!!
WOO HOO! What's new at 1902?? Let me tell you... February's theme is 'Made with Love'! We're launching a series of classes for everyone that wants to learn something new! There will be a total of SEVEN classes offered on various days of the week. Here they are:
FEBRUARY 2nd: Make a chunky hand-knit blanket with Candace of Be Inspired Studios. No knitting needles are needed for this project! You will be using super soft, thick yarn knitted with your own hands to create a cozy lap blanket in your choice of color. Class is from 6 to 9 pm with a cost of $80. You take home a beautifully completed blanket at the end of the night!
FEBRUARY 6th: Decorate sugar cookies with Theresa of Cabin Cookies by Theresa. Get creative and sweeten your day in this hands-on cookie decorating class! Learn simple techniques with icing as you decorate delicious cookies to take home. Perfect for all ages and skill levels—just bring your imagination! Class is from 6 to 8 pm with a cost of $40. You'll take home a dozen decorated cookies.
FEBRUARY 8th: Paint your own pottery with Jami of Artdorable Studio. Unleash your creative side with heart themes, personalized messages, fun techniques and even song lyrics on your choice of pottery pieces! Truly the sky is the limit here! Class is from 2 to 4 pm with a cost of $45. No matter your skill level, you are guaranteed a memorable, creative experience with a beautiful piece of pottery as proof!
FEBRUARY 11th: Make a copper wire pendant with Sandy of Hand Crafted Copper. Discover the art of wire wrapping in this hands-on class as you create your own copper Tree of Life necklace. Learn basic techniques to shape, twist, and weave wire into a meaningful, wearable design—no experience needed. Class is from 6 to 8 pm with a cost of $30. Leave with a beautiful handmade necklace in your choice of color and new creative skills!
FEBRUARY 19th: Decorate cupcakes with Jane of Jane's Sweet Creations. Learn to decorate cupcakes like a pro! Featured in the class will be piping beautiful flowers, creating fun designs and making your cupcakes look as good as they taste. No experience needed - just bring your sweet tooth and creativity! Class is from 6 to 8 pm with a cost of $60. Take home your 6 cupcakes in three gourmet flavors in a to-go box as well as your apron, tools to recreate decorated cupcakes at home and any leftover frosting and embellishments!
FEBRUARY 24th: Couple's paint night with Jami of Artdorable Studio. Bring your spouse and turn date night into a creative adventure with the 'paint each other' challenge! (Best friends are welcome too!) You'll be using acrylic medium on stretched canvas. Class is from 6 to 8 pm with a cost of $45. You are guaranteed a memorable experience, great laughs and your very own unique masterpiece!
FEBRUARY 26th: Create with stained glass with Candace of Be Inspired Studios. Class is from 6 to 8 pm with a cost of $70. Come and create something beautiful!
All of the classes will be held at 1902 Resort and Retreats at 6750 Haakwood Road near Wolverine. Tasty treats and curated mocktails are included. (or bring your own adult beverages!)
