It’s with the heaviest mom heart that I write this post. Our son, Cody Scarborough, passed on Wednesday evening, July 22, 2026. He lived his life FULL and made things better wherever he was. Served 27 years in the US Navy, climbed the ladder from an enlisted sailor to Commander of VQ4 Squadron and served his last 14 months at the Pentagon in Washington DC. Please Pray fervently for our men and women in uniform! They sacrifice so much! Sometimes the stress is heavy and they give all they can give. We’ve always surrounded him and his family with prayer as the Navy relocates them every two to three years and as he deployed away from home. We will miss his leadership in our family. He was an amazing husband loving his wife dearly, father of two amazing teenagers, a big brother who challenged his little brother to achieve, and to Tom and I, he was an amazing son. 48 years is a short life here on earth but he is now with our Lord and Savior and those loved ones who went on ahead.
Memorial Services will be posted as soon the US Navy has finalized details.

Our two day Embroidery Event with Kellie Rushing is so much fun. Lots of learning, laughter, and finished projects! They are stitching the Riley Blake “Stitch Your Sewing Room” projects- pincushion, quilt label, wall hanging, zipper bag! A local florist, House of Flowers, donated orchids for everyone.
