We are excited to welcome Sojourn Gudorf Johnston as Guest Instructor of our Summer Intensive July 13-17.
Ages 6-9 9:00-12:00 Students will be immersed in the fun and creativity of movement, exploring various dance styles, as well as arts and crafts, circus skills, and more. Students will learn about the stories of the classic ballets and then explore how ballet uses technique, choreography, and physical expression to tell the story.
Ages 10-16 1:00-5:00 Intermediate students will dive deeper into ballet technique and artistry, exploring the stories and history of ballet, as well as special workshops in various dance styles, circus arts, and more.

Sojourn Gudorf Johnston, originally from Craftsbury, Vermont, began her dance training at the age of five, studying ballet, tap, jazz, modern, and hip-hop. She trained under Boston Ballet principal dancers and earned top awards at Youth America Grand Prix competitions, advancing to finals in New York and Paris. Sojourn expanded her training in a variety of dance styles on merit scholarships with American Ballet Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet, Boston Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, and Joffrey Musical Theater. She graduated from the English National Ballet School’s three-year Trainee Program with a Diploma in Professional Dance. As a professional dancer with Ballet Frontier of Fort Worth, she performs leading roles in both classical ballets and contemporary works. With eight years of teaching experience across ballet, jazz, musical theater, tap, hip hop, improvisation, and contemporary, Sojourn is passionate about inspiring students through a love of dance and performance.
