Hello Wolcott community! We’d Love Your Help with the Wolcott Festival! 🎡

We understand that everyone is busy, and making it to Festival Committee meetings isn’t always possible. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be involved!

If you have an idea for the festival, would like to help with an event, or can simply volunteer a few hours of your time, we would love to hear from you. Every little bit of help makes a difference, and there are plenty of ways to get involved without making a big time commitment.

Have an idea? Want to lend a hand? Just want to know where we could use some help?

Feel free to text me (Stephen Fields) at 480-695-1049.

The Wolcott Festival is a community tradition, and the more people we have involved, the better we can make it for everyone. We’d love to have you be a part of it! 🎉

Please feel free to DM us or comment below your email and phone number so we can add you to future updates and happenings.

Just a reminder that tonight at 6:30 at the community building there is a festival meeting! We need volunteers to help with 2027! Come and ask any questions you have and get signed up to help.

2027 Festival update! So thankful for everyone who has said that they could help next year! Come to ask questions and find out how you can be involved next Thursday August 27 at the community building-6:30. We are thankful to say we have a slated officer team that will hopefully be voted in at that meeting. Along with that we hope that everyone who said they wanted to help can come and support this new officer team and help make another successful event! If you can’t make it- we understand! Please message the page and ask how you can be signed up to help. Looking forward to another great year! 😊

Instead of replying to all the comments, here is a list of some of the things needed. The best way is to show up at a meeting to see/hear everything that happens. But for those that didn’t make it.
-Bathroom duty-someone to check the toilet paper. Flush the toilets. Replace paper towel. Clean up behind people.
-Rent the service sanitation- then go meet them up there when they deliver to get them in place.
-Rent the dumpster.
-Book bands and sound system. Work between them to make sure they have everything they need.
-Help with grounds clean up after the event is over.
-help with set up the day before.
-social media posting. Calling newspapers. Answering all the Facebook messages/comments.
-calling/renting the bounce house or getting quotes from other places and lining that up.
-lining up fireworks and the fire department to set them off.
- getting food vendors lined up.
-getting flea market people. Going to the surrounding markets to advertise.
-talking with insurance and making sure everything is covered.
-making sure all the food vendors/bounce houses have their insurance.
-finding security/working with local police.
-booking the park/community building.
-work with white county EMA to make sure you have a safe evacuation plan in place

The list could go on. The best way to be involved is to show up at a meeting and ask those in charge “how can I help”. We tried that tonight. Some positions are potentially filled for the leadership. Right now there is currently no president or vice president. I say potentially due to the fact voting hasn’t happened as there is no president. Hopefully this helps those with questions.

After the community meeting tonight, there is a desperate need for volunteers and leadership roles. Aside from our town board president, there was no one from the community that showed up. I need people to reach out within 1 week if you can volunteer your time. We need commitment of time. Ideas are wonderful. But those aren’t needed. Volunteers are needed. Please reach out, message this page. Call/text 260-273-6798. If not enough volunteers help THERE WILL BE NO 2027 Festival.

Good evening! Just wanted to remind every one of our meeting this Thursday, 6:30 at the Wolcott community building. This meeting is necessary because the festival needs more volunteers. The ideas are great- but what is needed most is willing helpers to run the 2027 Festival. Ideas are nothing without volunteer hours behind them. So, what can you do?! Show up Thursday night to sign up to help out on the 2027 Wolcott Summer Festival! Without more will volunteers the festival will not succeed. If you don’t want a main position- that’s fine too. It takes alot of people to run a smooth town wide event. Even if you can just help the day of- show up so the committee knows they have help/support. Looking forward to seeing a good turnout!

Fireworks are a go! Thank you to all who helped make today successful. Unfortunately the rain made the afternoon a bit slim. If you are interested in helping next year please come to the meeting on August 20 at the community building at 6:30. If you want a festival next year please come!
