Happy Mother’s Day to all the hockey moms and figure skating moms — the ones up before sunrise, driving to the rink, waiting through practices, cheering from the cold stands, and somehow always keeping everyone warm.

Thank you for the early mornings, late nights, sharpened skates, packed bags, and endless support. The ice wouldn’t feel the same without you. 💙🏒⛸️

Thank you volunteers for your help in taking the ice out. That wraps up the end of our season.

Our 2026-2027 season will start July 6th. We look forward to seeing back at the rink this summer.

The Wisconsin Rapids Ice Rink is proud (and slightly nervous) to announce our first-ever “Glow-in-the-Dark Ice Fishing Tournament” — happening this Saturday night! 🎣❄️

That’s right… we’ve drilled 50 official “fishing holes” straight into the rink (don’t worry, the Zamboni signed off on it… probably). Participants will skate out, drop their lines, and compete to catch the elusive Great Lakes Ice Pike — rumored to glow neon green under blacklights.

🏆 Grand Prize:

One year of free skating
A golden ice auger
And bragging rights as Wisconsin Rapids’ top indoor angler

Bonus events include:

Speed skating while holding a fishing pole
“Biggest Catch” (rubber fish division)
And a surprise appearance by our mascot, Larry the Frozen Loon

Spots are limited — mostly because we only have so much “ice water” to go around.
