Always inspirational to see the cheerful red Salvation Army donation kettle! They are scrambling to provide enough beds for people during this cold weather and welcome any donation no matter how small.
Beyond emergency shelter and food pantries they provide after school programs for kids, job training and drug and alcohol rehab. I personally know how much assistance they provide and am a huge fan and perennial supporter.

Happy belated International Cat day!
My Dubai rescue cat Viktor is enjoying green central Florida and grass for the first time 😍
Many, many thanks to the DIY pet export from UAE to USA group on Florida. 🙏 Many thanks to all the people who have agreed to look after my feral cat colony in Al Quoz. 😇

Work in progress- I'm finishing this painting before flying out for a commission. The movers boxed and took everything yesterday- but I kept some paints. It reminds me of painting on the floor in India. What you can't see is my daughter DJing in the background.

As my time in Dubai is getting short it has been bittersweet to connect with friends. Unlike past moves though, this one doesn't seem final. For which, I'm eternally grateful. 🙏
There's no rushing or bypassing the discomfort. It's a lesson in meditation, in sitting with all the feelings. It's part of the path.
This place has left its mark upon my heart, and changed me forever. 💜

I'm grateful to have been raised by two loving and compassionate women. To have received guidance and support over the years and sometimes in the most unlikely places. To now have a whole tribe of beautiful spirits in fun and kinship.
It goes to show you never know where a connection might be made and who you might make a huge difference to. Giving and receiving. Reaching out and listening. Uplifting and accepting. Sharing. Loving.
I nominate .lola .walsh.dubai .solange.ferrier and Cate, who isn't on ig but will see this perhaps on fb, and who is the ultimate role model of 💖

I'm so sad to announce I'm moving. 😭😭😭
Although I'm happy to be moving back to Florida, I'm super sad to leave Dubai- my home away from home for the past 4 years.
This community is incredible and I'm grateful to have been a part of it 🙏 I won't say it's forever.. there's always a reason to return 😍
If you've been interested in one of these paintings send me a dm. I'd much rather they find homes here, than risk damage in shipping. Plus then a little bit more of my soul gets to stay 💜
