At its core, the Winter Park Film Festival is way more than movies.

It’s about what happens when people come together.

It’s the conversations that start after the credits roll. The meals shared with people you didn’t know an hour ago. The filmmakers who make you see the world differently. The stories that challenge what you believe, remind you what’s possible, and maybe even change the way you see yourself.

We’re building more than a film festival. We’re building a community around storytelling, creativity, adventure, and human connection.

A place where you can show up as you are, meet people you never would have met, discover stories you never would have found, and leave wanting to make something, do something, or become something more.

Movies. Food. Connection.

That’s where it starts.
What happens from there is why we do this.

What happens when the person pretending to be a statue falls in love with the real thing?

HEARTS OF STONE comes to the Winter Park Film Festival — a beautifully strange narrative short blending fantasy, romance, and dark humor into a story unlike anything else in this year’s lineup.

Starring Noomi Rapace and Jessica Barden, the film follows Paula, a living-statue street performer who finds herself drawn to Agatha — a stone sculpture who may be more alive than she appears.
