✨FACULTY ANNOUNCEMENT✨ Mr.Paolo!
With Season 7 in full swing here at The Dance Collective, we wanted to take a moment and introduce some new faces you’ll be seeing around the studio! 💫 First up, we have Mr.Paolo!
Paolo Cervellera is from Putignano, Italy, and has built an international career as a ballet dancer, choreographer, and educator. He trained at the San Carlo Opera House in Naples, where he performed in numerous productions with the ballet company, like Swan Lake, Giselle, Nutckraker and more. Early in his career, he shared the stage with acclaimed tenor Andrea Bocelli and appeared in television programs and musical productions throughout Italy.
In 2011, Paolo was cast in the original production of Saturday Night Fever aboard Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas, working with Broadway choreographer Spencer Liff. The following year, he moved to New York City to join Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo as a principal dancer. During his time with the company, he toured internationally, rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, and was featured in the acclaimed documentary Rebels on Pointe, available on Prime Video.
Since 2017, Paolo has been a performer with The Walt Disney Company, where he currently portrays Moto in Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In addition to performing, he is passionate about teaching, choreography, and creative direction, working with dancers of all levels and collaborating on corporate events and live productions throughout the Orlando area.
Mr.Paolo currently teaches our levels 3-5 Ballet Technique and Pointe, and we have had a BLAST with him so far! We are so excited and honored to have him join our TDC family! 💙🖤🤍
