On the final leg of the journey to have lacquer for vinyl production capability, here at the studio. It’s been a long road and we’re almost there.....

I’m very happy to get the news that Fantastic Negrito won the Grammy for Best Contrnporary Blues album. Number 2 for Xavier and number 7 for myself. I love Xavier’s music and lyrical sensibility, plus Matt Winegar delivered most excellent mixes. Glad to play a small part on this one. Life is good!

Ok Facebook, I’m back here to do something that will ‘engage’ my audience, which is what you seem to tell me to do almost constantly. Seems like my last post was a year ago? Lol.

Let’s see....another Grammy win earlier this year (number 6), that was cool.
My vintage Scully lathe (the project that seems to be never ending) is HOPEFULLY coming online soon, so I’ll be cutting lacquers for vinyl production. Yay!
I will be starting the new studio build in the fall. FINALLY! I’m psyched about that. Found a super cool building barely minutes from my crib.
The Electronaut M97’s and a Prism DA-2, are super fun, new additions to the gear lineup...and most importantly the projects seem to be even more fun, well done, and musically diverse as time goes on. I have the absolute best clients and I’m constantly grateful for all of them even if I don’t always feel like making time to share all the day to day musical treats and names of the pertinent artists and co-conspirators that grace my studio.
I guess that’s about it for now. I’ll try and be back for updates more often, but if not, I put most of the day to day stuff up on Instagram for any of y’all that are really interested.
Over and out!

Oh Facebook. Yes, I know you haven't seen me here in a while. I've been busy. I just don't find the need to post every darn project that flitters down to my console like a butterfly pausing on my nose. It's been a good year so far. Great projects, new gear (mmmm), a nice Grammy win this year, a fun new car and lots of bike riding and meditatin'. Life is good, so give it a rest, ok?

So nice to master from tape today. Awesome sounding new EP from James Riotto. Extra bonus points for the great music.

Great mixes and tunes today from producers/players extraordinaire, Mitch Merrett (artist Chad Brownlee) and Mike Krompass (artsist Zuri Star). Thanks guys.
