We are grateful to those who attended Give Locally, Love Globally on Saturday and joined in the celebration of our community. TOGETHER we raised $71,135 toward building welcoming communities and supporting World Relief Triad's work in resettling refugees!! AMAZING!! It was incredibly moving to stand in solidarity with a community that publicly supports inclusion, diversity and cross-cultural friendships. TOGETHER we cultivated one of the largest and most successful one-day fundraiser for refugees in the country!! Thank you for being a part of this valuable work. **Many more photos to come! The five countries we are highlighting at the Gala are: ⠀
1. Congo: most of World Relief Triad’s clients speak multiple languages, including KiSwahili and their tribal mother tongue. ⠀
2. Sudan: formed in 2011, South Sudan is the youngest country in the world⠀
3. Myanmar: this past year we resettled 44 refugees from Myanmar in the Triad⠀
4. Syria: one the Triad’s Syrian clients will be reunited with her husband this month after over 3 years of separation
5. Bhutan: a great World Relief Triad staff member, is a Bhutanese refugee
