What an incredible time we had this past weekend for our season finale—and what fabulous audiences: standing ovations each half for two concerts! Jaki Shelton Green and the Winston-Salem Symphony Chorus gave an inspiring account of Dan Locklair's "Since Dawn," along with music by Conor Brown and the powerful Third Symphony of Aaron Copland. THANK YOU for being a part of the excitement all year long.

Best wishes to former WSS Music Director Peter Perret, who concludes his 14-year tenure with the Philharmonia of Greensboro this Saturday at 7pm in Dana Auditorium on the campus of Guilford College.

Peter Perret, the conductor of the Philharmonia of Greensboro, will lay down his baton after his final concert at 7 pm this Saturday, June 6, at Dana Auditorium, 710 Levi Coffin Dr. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged to help sustain the City Ensemble concert series.

Perret’s last concert with the orchestra, which will be accompanied by dancers from the Greensboro Ballet, includes an original piece by local composer Sumner Spradling, and will feature portions of Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony and Peter & the Wolf.
