Okay…so the rain never came.

That’s alright because Sunday is going to be EVEN BETTER!!!

The coal pit at Incendiary Brewing Company downtown Winston-Salem is the place to be Sunday afternoon!!!

Five bands…all original music and it’s all FREE!!!

It all kicks off at 1:00 and we go all afternoon. Grab a chair, some friends and we’ll see you Sunday!!!

Mother Nature strikes!

Due to the rainy weather forecast for Saturday we’ve made the decision to move the spring showcase to Sunday at 1pm. Still the same lineup, still free, just without you having to pack a poncho.

This Saturday, in the coal pit at Incendiary Brewing Company is the 2026 Out of the Shadows spring event...and this year's lineup is absolutely STACKED!!!

Grab a lawn chair...grab some friends and spend the day with some of the area's coolest original bands.

We’re just a few weeks away from the 2026 spring showcase!!!

If you dig live original music, then the coal pit at Incendiary Brewing Company, downtown Winston-Salem, will be the place to be Saturday, May 2nd.

Six great bands, all based right here in the triad area, all playing original music will be hitting the Out of the Shadows stage for a full afternoon of music.

This is our fifth year of celebrating local and regional artists playing original music. We've got old friends and new friends joining us and you do NOT want to miss it!

Join us Saturday May 2nd in the coal pit at Incendiary Brewing Company (downtown Winston-Salem) for the 2026 spring Out of the Shadows showcase!!!!

This is our fifth year of bringing you live original music from area and regional artists...all on one stage, in a single one day event.

To celebrate we've got SIX bands lined up to make sure we do it right! Many are old friends of the event while a others will be playing the OOTS stage for the first time.

We're celebrating our past, while also keeping an eye on the future.

Keep an eye out on this page for a line-up announcement coming soon. But until then...be sure and put Saturday May 2nd on your calendar...we'll see you then!!!

SPRING DATE ANNOUNCMENT!!!!!!

Out of the Shadows will return to the Coal Pit at Incendiary Brewing Company in downtown Winston-Salem Saturday May 2nd!!!

For five years now, Out of the Shadows has been dedicated to sharing and celebrating original music created by local and regional artists, and at the same time, trying to do our part to help strengthen the community of area musicians that create and play the music. And like all 5 year old's, we want to have a party with our friends!

It might be January right now, but the sun is shining just a little bit longer every day.
Get this date added to your calendar today, and just feel the warmth start building inside!

Another event is in the books!

Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday and showed their support for local original music! The sun broke through and it turned out to be a beautiful day full of incredible music.

Shout out to our sponsor Longleaf Provisions for helping to make this day happen. And to Nada Mas Empanadas Argentina Gourmet food truck for spending the day with us. And of course Chris and EVERYONE at Incendiary Brewing Company…without them and their willingness to put their full weight and supoort behind Out of the Shadows…none of this happens!

Today’s the day!!!

We’re not going to let the rain dampen our day. We’re inside the taproom at Incendiary Brewing Company in Lewisville today for a fantastic day of music!

It all kicks off at 2pm with a fantastic lineup of singer-songwriters. We’ve solo performances, as well as small group performances. If you love original acoustic music, unplugged and in a terrific intimate setting…then you need to join us this afternoon!

A huge thanks to for sponsoring today’s event. Be sure to say hello to them when you come by today. And also make sure to grab some worm empanadas from the food truck.
