General Chuck Yeager

I'm an aviation nut. A retired aircraft mechanic. Most of what is created by me has wings on it. General Chuck Yeager is the first man to fly faster than the speed of sound in 1947. This is him around 1998. It is the largest drawing I've ever done, at 24x18 inches. Graphite pencil on 100 # Bristol paper. I put a lot of hours into this one, and I'm rather proud of it. It turned out better than I thought it would at the time. I did this piece in 2013. I put down my pencil in 2015 to take care of my wife. I just recently picked it back up again, and trying to knock off the rust before tackling another high-level project.

Fishing Hole

My husband and I have camped at Stone Mountain State Park many times. One of our favorite spots is the road leading down through the park, where there is this bridge over a stream, where you can sometimes find trout. I love the peacefulness of this spot.
