Snowdrift Art Space

Snowdrift Art Space Snowdrift Art Space is the gallery and studio of Dan Lutzick in downtown Winslow, Arizona.

Housed in the historic 1914 Babbitt Brothers Department Store, Snowdrift Art Space features a 10,000-square-foot exhibition space that houses a permanent collection of Dan's sculptures. Free individual or group tours of Snowdrift are available by appointment only. Snowdrift also hosts several community events each year, including the Material Girls Quilt Show and Winslow's Dia de los Muertos Celebration.

We recently had a visit from our friends Ron Harvey and Jason Wreath. They were in town to explore the art scene in Winslow and to film a segment for their Youtube series "Lost in Plain Sight".

Dan took a walk with them through La Posada Hotel and they were somehow able to edit an afternoon of his ramblings and condense it down to a short, coherent, thoughtful tour that even included some time i n La Posada's famous tunnels below the hotel.

Frediversary (Fred Harvey 150th Anniversary) attendees including many member of the Fred Harvey family paid La Posada a visit over the last couple of days. They were treated to a tour of the property by owners Allan Affeldt and Tina Mion which included special stops at the Affeldt Mion Museum and a look into the historic Lamy 502 Pleasure Dome train car.

We recently had a visit from our friends Ron Harvey (right) and Jason Wreath. They were in town to explore the art scene in Winslow and to film a segment for their YouTube series, "Lost in Plain Sight"

Dan has been working on a 4 foot by 6 foot model of Snowdrift Art Space in preparation for a complete exhibit re-design that will start in February 2027 when the 40 or so sculptures and paintings return to Snowdrift from the Affeldt Mion Museum. The goal of the new Snowdrift exhibit will be to have a more focused presentation of sculpture groupings and to streamline the visitor's path through the exhibit space during tours. On hand for the first look at the model were (left to right) Ann-Mary Lutzick, John Suttman, Paul Ruscha, and Steve Wood.
