Teaching Style and Philosophy

We feel dance is a non-verbal language that allows us to communicate with our friends and partners. It is a great way to build new skills with your partner, meet new friends, network, and socialize is a safe, healthy, and fun environment! Dance events span generations from teenagers to nonagenarians; everyone loves the exercise and great music. To speak this new lang

uage we need vocabulary - so we take dance classes. We focus of the technical side of the dance and breaking the steps down so you know what to do, why you are doing it, and when do it. However, while focus on these details, we never lose sight of the fact that we are all here to have fun! In addition to private and group lessons at the Winona Athletic Club, we will also come to your event to teach your group. We often help with wedding dance preparations, school functions, and company parties. We can provide instruction, music, and DJ services as needed for the event. In light of the Delta Variant, all students are asked to:

-Wear a face mask AT ALL TIMES at dance lessons (even if you're fully vaccinated)
-Don't attend if you're not feeling well, have tested positive, or have been exposed to someone with COVID in the last 7 days
-Don't attend if you have a severely weakened immune system (immunocompromised)

It's finally Friday and we're ready to dance on Third Street in front of Blooming Grounds and Miya Japanese bistro! We can't wait to hear the great jazz tunes from the La Crosse Jazz Orchestra filling downtown Winona tonight. Don't forget, the FREE swing dance lesson is from 6-7pm and the dance is from 7-9pm. See you later!

Less than 2 weeks!!!

🎷Do you like FREE, LIVE jazz music? Do you like to dance? Well then you're not going to want to miss the La Crosse Jazz Orchestra next Friday, July 16 in downtown Winona! They will be serenading us LIVE at Swinging in the Street as we dance the night away. Providing stellar swing and jazz tunes, they are the hottest big band in La Crosse.

Not interested in dancing? Some seating will be available to listen to fantastic music and watch great dancing!
