Thank you to everyone for joining us and helping make the evening a success. Thank you to Sean Burke for providing us with beautiful music, Kooky Concessions and Catering for the delicious food, the WSU Women’s Tennis Team for serving, the WSU chapter of Kappa Chi Fraternity for helping our guest at the entrances, Jesse Lanik for our graphics, Excel Images for the t-shirts, and all of the generous donors of items for our silent auction. Thank you also to HyVee Wine and Spirits and their amazing vendors: The Wine Company, Johnson Gallo, Phillips, Johnson Liquor, Johnson Vintage, Southern Wine & Spirits, Molly’s Winery, Vinocopia, Island City, Breakthru, and Artisan. While you’re there, make a donation in honor of a loved one who has battled or is battling cancer by filling out a card to be displayed in the bar area.

Spotlight on Volunteers! Thank you to Kappa Chi Fraternity at WSU!

Founded in 1991, Kappa Chi has positively impacted the Winona Community for nearly 30 years. Kappa Chi operates under four pillars: brotherhood, community outreach, scholarships, and instilling ethical principles. Many of our brothers have been affected by cancer through their own friends and family members. Working with The Winona Eagles Club #1243 for the "Shine The Light On A Cure" is a fantastic opportunity to give back.

Spotlight on Volunteers

We have participated in the Eagles Cancer Telethon since joining the Winona Eagles Club 22 years ago. In those 22 years we have lost many friends and family to cancer. But we have also seen great strides in the research done at Mayo Clinic, University of Minnesota, and the Hormel Research Institute. This gives us hope for a future that does not include any incurable cancer.

Spotlight on Volunteers-Nik Kronebusch

“Everyone knows someone who has been affected by cancer. I have lost a brother to cancer and currently I have several immediate family members struggling with it. There cannot be enough emphasis put on the importance of developing better detection methods and potentially finding a cure. I am proud to be part of this event. I am proud of what it and the Eagles Club organization has done to shine a light on a disease that affects so many.”
