Hot Shotz Dance Company is looking for a creative high school student to join our team as a Studio Content Creator! 📸🎥🎨

Help capture photos and videos, create social media content, design graphics, and showcase all the exciting things happening at HSDC.

📅 Must be available Monday afternoons during the summer and throughout the school year as well as and Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons beginning in August.

🎓 This is an internship-style opportunity designed to help students gain hands-on experience in social media, marketing, photography, videography, and graphic design. While this position is currently unpaid, it offers valuable portfolio-building experience and the potential for future paid opportunities.

We kicked off our summer tumbling season this afternoon, and we couldn't be more excited!

Summer is the perfect time to work on new skills, gain strength, build confidence, and stay active. Whether your athlete is just getting started or working toward their next big skill, we'd love to help them reach their goals!

What a FUN time at our HSDC Open Gym Showcase! We loved getting to invite our parents into the studio to watch all the hard work and growth that has been going on in our tumbling class this season! 👏✨

From new skills to improved confidence, we are so proud of every athlete and all they have accomplished this year. Thank you to our amazing HSDC families for supporting these girls every step of the way! 🩷

Our spring recital is officially ONE WEEK AWAY!!! 🎉💃💋

BUT the hard work isn’t done yet!! Here, you can find our practice schedule for this week! It is very important that all dancers attend every practice so that we can be sure to have a smooth and fun recital night. Please remember, dress rehearsal is mandatory for participation in the recital!!

Important Reminders:
- The last day to purchase pre-sale tickets for $10 will be at dress rehearsal on May 15th.
- T-Shirts will be available for pick up at dress rehearsal.
- All dancers must have a backstage box for their costumes, shoes, and other personal items, labeled with their name, at dress rehearsal and the recital.

A letter with all important information regarding dress rehearsal and recital night will be sent home on WEDNESDAY. Please be on the look out for this letter as it will be your guide to a stress free and fun filled weekend.

We can’t WAIT for you to join us in celebrating everyone’s hard work through attending our spring recital, FAME!!

🎉💃Tickets and T-shirts are on sale now!! 💃🎉

We are proud to officially announce our 2025-2026 spring recital theme, FAME featuring the soundtracks from your favorite Broadway shows and TV musicals.

You can purchase T-shirts through the link below. ALL order forms and payments will be due MAY 5th. Recital tickets are being pre-sold at the front desk of the studio within studio hours starting TODAY. Pre-sale tickets will be sold for $10.00 until the end of dress rehearsal on MAY 15th. If you do not purchase a ticket in advance, don’t worry! There will be tickets available for purchase at the recital on MAY 16th, starting at 4:30 p.m. for $12.00. Children considered 1st grade and up are required to have a ticket for entry. The recital will begin at 6:30 p.m.

P.S. There will be a lot of information going out in the upcoming weeks. Please be sure to read all emails, social media posts, and text before contacting us with your questions! If you are not receiving text and emails from the studio, let us know ASAP!

It’s time to get your BACKSTAGE BOXES! 👏💯🎉

Backstage boxes are an efficient way for dancers to contain their costumes, shoes, snacks, and any other items.

Here’s what we suggest:

-When purchasing a box: Choose a box that your child can carry on her own, but that is large enough to hold all of her belongings without having to smush it in!

-Decorating: Decorating your box is completely optional. We do require that your child's full name is present on the box somewhere so that our staff can easily identify it when needed. However you choose to decorate your box is completely up to you!

Backstage boxes will be used to transport your children's costumes, dance shoes, and other belongings to and from the recital and dress rehearsal.

Important dates to remember:

- Intro practice (4th-12th grade) May 3, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m, at HSDC

- Group practice in studio May 13 (schedule will be posted soon)

- Mandatory dress rehearsal is on May 15, 3:45 p.m. at Greenwood Civic Center

- Recital May 16th at Greenwood Civic Center.

Recital season is in full swing! Keep an eye out on our social media for important updates. Also, be sure that you are receiving text and emails from the studio so that you do not miss any important details, practices, and notices!

Getting ready for cheer tryouts?? Let us help you!! We are proud to announce that our tumbling coach, Caitlin Mullins will be hosting a Cheer Tryout Prep Clinic designed to build confidence, clean skills, and help athletes stand out on tryout day!

A small recap of our amazing weekend at Tremaine Dance Convention. We are so thankful to have to opportunity to train with some of the best!

We want to say a special thank you to all teachers and TPC dancers at Tremaine for providing an environment that truly inspires us to become better dancers and grows our love for the craft every time.
