Empowering Kids to "POP" into Healthy Eating!
We are thrilled to announce that this month, the Power of Produce (POP) Program will launch in Kosciusko County to empower children ages 5–12 to lead the way in healthy eating.
Our mission for this program is simple: Connect kids to their food, support our local farmers, and build lifelong healthy habits. By turning the market into a classroom, we’re teaching the next generation to value nutrition and the local agriculture that sustains us.
How it Works: Kids visit the POP Table at the farmers market between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for a hands-on lesson with the Purdue Extension - Kosciusko County Master Gardeners. After learning about wellness and nutrition, they earn a $7 voucher to shop for their own fresh fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, edible plants or seeds!
Find the POP Table once each month at these markets:

🍏Kosciusko County Farmers and Artisans Market : 4th Saturday, starting June 27th
This community health initiative is funded by Parkview Health and delivered in collaboration with Purdue Extension, the Northeast Indiana Local Food Network, and the leadership of our participating Farmers Markets.
