The Winnsboro Cowboy Music & Poetry Gathering is looking for performers to take the stage during our Open Mic sessions in September, in beautiful downtown Winnsboro, Texas!

Performance times will be limited to allow multiple participants the opportunity to perform. This is a wonderful chance to connect with fellow western artists, celebrate cowboy heritage, and be part of one of East Texas' most unique cultural events.

Set sail for a magical summer adventure at our Mermaid & Pirate Treasure Workshop!

Children ages 6–8 will create their own treasure chest, decorate it with gems and ocean treasures, design a pirate treasure map, and bring home their very own treasure-filled keepsake.

What do you do when you have twelve chairs that need to be painted in bright colors for summer art camp and have no time? Why, you call in the supercharged Women's Art Force! This wonderful and multi-talented group of local women artists recently came to our rescue by volunteering their time and energy to help us furnish the glazing area of our ceramics department in the new Creative Learning Center. Have we said lately how much we LOVE OUR VOLUNTEERS!!! Thanks, Ladies!

Yesterday, we hosted our first Art Party in our Maker's Space in the new Creative Learning Center for the birthday celebration of 13-year-old Kennedy. This group of young painters enjoyed painting their floral artwork as they created their own unique masterpieces. Some were so serious about getting their backgrounds just right that they will be finishing the paintings later. We think, finished or not, that the photos all of this talent deserves to be shared. They all did such a fantastic job, don't you agree?

Two more days until this month's Peacock glaze class with instructor Rita Bledsoe. No experience needed to create your very own beautiful ceramic bowl. A heartfelt THANK YOU to the owners and staff of Haven's Cafe! WCA's first Dinner and a Show: Broadway Musical R***e was a sold-out success, and we truly appreciate all of your hard work, dedication, and hospitality.

We would also like to thank the Winnsboro community for your continued participation and support. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to welcome so many new ones. Your enthusiasm and support make events like this possible, and we are grateful to share these special experiences with you.

It was a wonderful weekend collaboration with the Winnsboro Center for the Arts! It was so fun & exciting to participate in their Dinner and a Show Event! This event was SOLD OUT, and we loved hosting dinner at the Cafe for 100 theater goers. Today we had an opportunity to attend the Broadway Musical Review ourselves and it brought tears to my eyes seeing regulars and friends of ours around the community belting out show tunes! So much talent in Winnsboro and the surrounding areas! Thank you to our incredible staff family who worked their tails off to bring this event together in the restaurant. Thank you to the WCA for this wonderful idea and trusting us with your people!
