The Johnny Ackel Memorial Rodeo & Festival Car Show rolls into town on Saturday, August 22nd at 10:00 AM!

Whether you’ve got a classic cruiser, muscle car, truck, or custom ride, we want to see it. Entry is just $25 per vehicle and you’ll be part of an exciting day of cars, rodeo action, live music, and family fun.

Want to Compete at the Johnny Ackel Memorial Rodeo? Here’s How to Get Your PRCA Membership!

Because the 2026 Johnny Ackel Memorial Rodeo is now a PRCA-sanctioned Pro Rodeo, all contestants must have a valid PRCA membership or permit before entering.

Step 1: Apply for a PRCA Permit

All new contestants start by purchasing a PRCA Permit Membership. This allows you to enter PRCA rodeos and begin your professional rodeo career.

Step 2: Complete Your Membership Application

Visit the official PRCA membership site and create an account:

You will need:

Personal information
Contact information
Social Security Number (for tax purposes)
Payment for membership fees and insurance requirements

Step 3: Receive Your PRCA Permit Number

Once approved, you’ll receive your PRCA permit number and can begin entering PRCA-sanctioned rodeos through ProCom.

Step 4: Enter the Johnny Ackel Memorial Rodeo

After your permit or card is active, you’ll be eligible to enter the Johnny Ackel Memorial Rodeo through the PRCA entry system when entries open.

Moving Up to a PRCA Card Member

Permit holders who earn the required winnings at PRCA rodeos can then apply for a full PRCA Contestant Card Membership.
