Music is not extra! Music is biological. Music is an essential part of what it means to be human.

Music is not extra.
It never has been. 🎶

Music education teaches creativity, discipline, collaboration, confidence, problem-solving, and perseverance.
It gives students a place to belong.
A place to express themselves.
A place to be seen.

For some students, music is the reason they come to school.
For others, it becomes the reason they believe in themselves.

When schools invest in music programs, they invest in people.
In futures.
In communities.

Music is not a luxury.
It is essential. ❤️

It's choir TUESDAY!!!

Our rehearsal is from 5:15-6:00 p.m. in the Darbeth Rehearsal Hall on the campus of Southwestern College. Look for the SCC yard signs that mark the rehearsal location.

All students need to have their t-shirt size turned in today so that shirts can be ordered. Check your email for more information on t-shirt ordering. See you soon! 🎶

TODAY is the LAST DAY TO REGISTER for SCC!

The Southwestern Children's Choir Fall season continues TODAY - Tuesday, September 10th at 5:15-6:00p.m. in Darbeth Rehearsal Hall on the campus of Southwestern College.

Look for Southwestern Children's Choir signs to know where to go. 🙂

The SCC meets once per week on Tuesdays and is open to students in grades 3rd-8th with no audition required! The SCC will perform throughout the year at various events such as the Southwestern Elementary Honor Choir, Winterfest, Arkalalah, and at Century II in Wichita!

We can't wait to sing with you! 🎶

There has never been a better time to join the Southwestern Children's Choir!

The last day to register for the SCC is Tuesday, September 10th before our rehearsal at 5:15-6:00p.m. in Darbeth Rehearsal Hall on the campus of Southwestern College.
