🚨🌟 WE’RE INTERRUPTING OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT…

🎉 TEACHER THURSDAY: BIRTHDAY EDITION! 🎂💃

We couldn’t let the day pass without giving one of our amazing Studio 37 teachers, Ms. Brittany, a little extra love! 🖤✨ So, we’re switching things up with a special birthday shoutout AND a teacher introduction!

Ms. Brittany teaches Jazz I & II, Hip Hop II/III, and works with our Studio 37 Competition Team! 🌟 She brings years of dance and teaching experience, with a background that spans the studio, competitive dance, the stage, and even music videos! 🎬💃

Brittany has been part of the Studio 37 family since 2023, and we’re so thankful for the passion she brings and the confidence she teaches to our dancers each week! 🖤

🎂 Help us wish Brittany the HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY in the comments! Drop her some love and help us make her day a little more special! 💫

✨ TEACHER TUESDAY: LAUREN COOK! ✨

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Lauren Cook! 🌟

Originally from Lynchburg, Virginia, Lauren began dancing at just 3 years old at Seven Hills Dance Studio. Her passion for dance led her to Old Dominion University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Dance and Performance in December 2015.

Since then, Lauren has built an impressive career as a performer, educator, and artist throughout Hampton Roads and beyond! 💫

🩰 A few highlights from Lauren’s journey:
✨ Performed with numerous artists and choreographers throughout Hampton Roads.
✨ Danced with the internationally renowned ’70s show band The Right On Band since 2012.
✨ Worked as a magician’s assistant with Magical Solutions Inc. for five years.
✨ Performed with Kista Tucker Insights in Washington, D.C., and participated in a residency with Printz Dance Project at the REACH Kennedy Center.
✨ Performed with Harrison Opera House and continued her training at Todd Rosenlieb Dance Center in Norfolk.

Beyond her performance career, Lauren is passionate about making dance accessible to everyone. She is the co-founder of Artistic Movements Initiative (AMI Dance) and organization that strives to foster creative expression through dance, providing classes and performing opportunities for pre-professional and adult dancers. She also teaches and manages the MIXMO program currently held at Evelyn Ott School of Dance, an adaptive dance program that welcomes individuals with autism and Down syndrome to experience the joy of movement alongside their parents and caregivers. ❤️

We are so excited to have Lauren sharing her knowledge, experience, and passion with our Studio 37 dancers! Her dedication to the art of dance and her commitment to making movement accessible to everyone makes her such a special part of our dance family. 🌟

Help us show Lauren some love in the comments! Drop a 💜 below to celebrate this amazing teacher!

💫Teacher Tuesday 💫

Jamie Errico is a passionate dance educator and choreographer with 30 years of dance experience and 16 years of teaching. Originally from New England, Jamie recently relocated to Virginia with her husband and their two daughters, bringing her love of dance and teaching to a new community.

With a strong foundation in jazz and contemporary, Jamie has enjoyed teaching and choreographing in a variety of styles throughout her career. She also served as a competition dance team director for 15 years, an experience that allowed her to mentor dancers, lead teams, and help create a positive and inspiring competitive environment. Her choreography has received numerous awards and recognition, but her greatest joy comes from watching her students grow in confidence, artistry, and their love of dance.

Jamie believes dance is about so much more than learning steps. She strives to create a welcoming environment where dancers feel supported, challenged, and inspired to be themselves. She loves helping students find their individuality, take creative risks, and discover what they are capable of both on and off the stage.

Jamie holds an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts with a Dance Option and a Certificate in Dance Education from Northern Essex Community College. She is also Acrobatic Arts Module 1 certified and continues to grow as an educator through dance conventions, teacher conferences, and ongoing professional development.

Jamie is excited to share her passion for dance, connect with her students and their families, and be part of a studio community where dancers can learn, grow, and truly love what they do.

👋Let’s give Jaime a big Studio 37 welcome!
