Not me over here about to drop a mini collection of patterns for fall in the next few weeks 👀 There will be a little something for everyone - an intricate colorwork pattern, a beginner colorwork pattern, and something special for the trick or treating mamas 🥰 I haven’t taken my kids trick or treating in a HOT minute (they are all grownups, booo lol) but I remember it with a lot of love and want to pass it on to other moms ☺️ AND these will all make use of your stash on hand, because if you’re anything like me, you have bits and bobs and “special skeins” all over the place lol

I did something I haven’t done in awhile and created myself a new colorway to play with 🥰 I call her, Over The Hills And Far Away. I had to IMMEDIATELY put it to use and picked the Starry Night Hat by Karolina Adamcyzk. I highly recommend this pattern, it’s extremely well written for a few different sizes AND color combos! Now the only thing I have to do is decide what to knit next lol

I’m the happiest of fiber artists today 🥰 I entered 4 hand knit pieces in Maine’s 2nd largest agricultural fair since 1888, The Windsor Fair, and won blue ribbons for Deep Winter Hat, Ainslie, my Mackworth sweater, and my Varia Mitts, AND my Varia Mitts took Best of Show 🤯

What’s everyone knitting?? I just finished 2 gorgeous cable patterns - the gold hat is Deep Winter Hat by Wool & Pine in 100% Peruvian Highland Wool (dyed by moi of course) and the white hat is Ainslie by Galt House of Yarn in 100% Cormo - a dreamy, squishy base by Bartlett Yarns in Harmony, Maine - fun fact, that’s where the Stephen King film Graveyard Shift was shot 🐀 Both patterns were extremely well written and have my personal stamp of approval!

Lawd, has it been 3 years since I posted?? Obviously I’m not dyeing yarn commercially anymore; I got divorced 3 years ago and have been busy with my knitting & exhibitions, graduating 2 of my kids, dyeing limited jobs for interested folks, and life in general. Is there interest in a page where I mostly post custom jobs and we chat about our latest projects, because I would love that 🥰 I’ll go first - I found a fantastic designer by the name of Erica Heusser and here’s a couple of her patterns I’ve been working on - yarn is all mine; I used natural white, Barnwood, and National Park After Dark on the Varia Mitts (owl) and Smoke, Spruce, and Mulberry on my WIP Peaceable Mitts (elephant)
