There’s something special about seeing work that began in the studio become part of a larger exhibition—and seeing it in conversation with the work around it.

A little time in the studio. ✨

There’s something about working with your hands that makes everything else quiet down for a while.

Today it’s wool, color and a felting needle — experimenting, layering and seeing where the idea goes.

Creativity doesn’t always have to result in something perfect. Sometimes the best part is simply making.

Harvest day. 🧄

There’s something deeply satisfying about pulling garlic from the garden after months of waiting. Gardening is a lesson in patience, care, and trust—and to me, it’s an art form.

My favorite things to grow are garlic, blueberries, and basil, though I always make room for herbs and pumpkins too.

Today I joined BB Henry | Mixed Media + Textile Artist Collage Clusters Playdate. BB worked in black and white, creating one long collage that was cut into sections and tucked into a journal.

I found myself naturally reaching for color. Along with fabric and paint, I added soft pastels and a few stitches of yarn embellishments, cutting the collage into a set of small collage cards instead.

One of my favorite things about taking classes is seeing how the same creative prompt can lead everyone in a completely different direction. There’s no right answer—just another way to explore.

I spent yesterday afternoon as a student at the Sequencing Teacher Trainee Workshop at River Gallery School of Art in Brattleboro, and it was such an inspiring experience.

Thank you to Jenny for inviting me, and to both Jenny and Ellen for being wonderful instructors. As someone who teaches creative workshops, I love stepping into the role of student. Every class reminds me there’s always something new to learn.
