Today is National Library Workers Day. Whether they work in outreach, youth services, archives, IT, management, are volunteers, a part of a Friends group, or something in between, the workers at Georgia public libraries help foster community and create lifelong learners through their dedication.

“Libraries are the heart of their communities, vital places where dedicated staff connect every patron with the resources, knowledge, and opportunities essential for lifelong learning and success,” said Julie Walker, vice chancellor for Libraries & Archives and state librarian.

Visit your library and thank a library worker for their hard work and dedication to their community.
