This week Miss Jacktown Queen and Princess has had the opportunity to teach and discuss the importance of Pennsylvania agriculture and the vital role local farmers and producers play in supporting our communities. We also talked about agriculture in Greene County and the value of choosing PA Preferred products that are grown and made right here in our state.

It was rewarding to share information about the hard work behind Pennsylvania agriculture and why supporting local products helps strengthen our economy, sustain family farms, and benefit communities across the Commonwealth.

The Jacktown Fair Pageant is more than just a tradition — it’s an opportunity for young ladies in our community to build confidence, leadership, friendships, and lifelong memories. Each year, this event brings people together to celebrate community spirit, hard work, and hometown pride.

As we prepare for this year’s pageant, we are looking for volunteers and donations to help make the event successful and meaningful for every participant. Your generosity helps create a positive experience for our contestants and keeps this cherished community tradition alive for future generations.

It’s such a special opportunity for our younger students to spend time with the queens, share stories, and build meaningful connections. Seeing their smiles and excitement over books is something we look forward to every year.

A little déjà vu from January 2016, when “Snowzilla” buried Hershey under more than three feet of snow and still couldn’t stop our Coronation Ceremony. Our fairs rolled up their sleeves, supported the banquet staff, and kept the evening running without missing a beat.

With that same spirit in mind, our 2026 Coronation will go on as planned. To prioritize everyone’s safety while ensuring our contestants receive the ceremony they deserve, the start time has been adjusted to 5:30 PM.

We look forward to celebrating together and keeping our tradition strong—snow or no snow.

The final night is upon us. Miss Jacktown, Madison Burns will walk across the stage along with 65 other contestants. The competition is such a growing point and an once a lifetime experience for these women. We couldn’t be more proud of how this weekend has gone as well as how Madison as preformed. Starting the last day of the PA State Fair Queen Competition with speeches. Jacktown and Greene County Queens did such a wonderful job public speaking and persuading the judges on ‘why they should come to their Fair’.
