One Street Over is a 5-person Celtic roots band from Wi******er, Virginia. Known for their dynamic blend of traditional and original tunes and ballads, their music weaves the rich sounds of vocals, Irish flute, fiddle, cello, bouzouki, mandolin, guitar, mandocello, and bodhrán.
Meeting in a pub in rural Virginia, they played together for months before realizing they lived just "one street over" from each other. A musician in the crowd called out, "That sounds like a great band name!" and so it was.
With backgrounds in diverse musical genres—including classical, bluegrass, and punk rock—these musicians offer captivating, toe-tapping tunes that resonate with the ears and heart.

This week we have class on Monday and Wednesday as usual.

There will be NO DANCE CLASSES Thursday or Friday 4/30 or 5/1 for Apple Blossom. Our studio space is used by the local EMTs for a safe station and the festival takes place just outside our studio, so we need to shut down for the festivities.

Welcome to Armstrong Irish Dance Academy! We are so excited to share our love of dance with the community by hosting an OPEN HOUSE!

Saturday March 21, 10:00 - 12:00

FREE trial classes for ages 3+, including adults. Come see what we are all about. No commitment!

CLASS TIMES:

10:15-10:30 ages 3-6 | 10:45-11 ages 7-13 | 11:15-11:30 ages 14+

We will kick things off at 10:00 with a few dance showcases our students have prepared for you and will follow the showcase with free trial classes for all ages.
