We specialize in the Cecchetti approach to classical ballet while also offering dance classes in a wide array of other styles including Acro, Tap, Jazz, and Lyrical & Modern. The art of dance has been a passion for Italia’s founder & CEO, Lorenza Manara Marchi, all her life. Born and raised in Florence, Italy, surrounded by the beauty of the classical art of Michelangelo, Botticelli, and Leonardo

da Vinci, Miss Lorenza started her dance training early, learning the Italian style of classical ballet called the Cecchetti Method. Eventually, her studies took her to England, where she met her husband, Peter Kirk. In 2012, they moved to the northern Shenandoah Valley with the intention of bringing classical and Romantic-era ballet and dance to the area, and today all of Italia’s students benefit from Miss Lorenza’s expertise and training. Our classes are designed to benefit students whether or not they go on to study dance professionally. By offering a nurturing environment and programs based in classical techniques, we enable our students to blossom into superior performers. We are pleased to serve Winchester and the northern Shenandoah Valley, with studios in both Winchester, VA and Woodstock, VA.
