We’re just days away from Fiddles & Fifths – Bluegrass & Bourbon Festival! Before you head downtown, here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your day:

🎟️ IS IT FREE?
YES! Fiddles & Fifths is a FREE event! Enjoy live music at the stage in front of the Shenandoah Valley Civil War Museum, 20 N. Loudoun Street.

👕 MERCH? ABSOLUTELY.
Grab your Fiddles & Fifths gear at Bright Box Theater, including T-shirts, bottle openers, glasses & more!

🅿️ WHERE CAN I PARK?
Street parking is available, along with four parking garages around the Downtown Walking Mall.

🚻 RESTROOMS
Portable restrooms will be available on Boscawen Street next to the Distillery Area.

🪑 CAN I BRING A CHAIR OR TENT?
Please leave the lawn chairs and tents at home! Portable chairs and tents are not permitted so we can keep the Walking Mall clear for pedestrians.

🐾 CAN I BRING MY PET?
Pets are welcome on the Walking Mall as long as they are leashed — but non-service animals are not permitted inside Bright Box Theater or the Distillery Area. And please remember to clean up after your furry friend!

🥃 WHERE CAN I DRINK?
The Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) will be in effect! Guests 21+ can purchase alcohol from participating venues and enjoy it outdoors within the marked DORA boundaries.

🚨 Important: Open alcohol is prohibited outside the DORA area, and alcohol cannot be carried into or out of the Distillery Area.

🥃 DISTILLERY SPOTLIGHT: KO Distilling

Based in Manassas, Virginia, KO Distilling is all about keeping things local while crafting spirits with plenty of character.

Founded by Bill Karlson and John O’Mara, KO Distilling creates a diverse lineup of Bare Knuckle Whiskeys, Distiller’s Reserve Bottled-in-Bond Whiskeys and Battle Standard 142 Gins. Their Bare Knuckle Straight Bourbon is made with 70% corn, 20% wheat and 10% malted barley, with the grains sourced from local Virginia farms.

KO takes its craft seriously, handling the entire process onsite—from milling and mashing to fermentation, distillation, barreling and bottling. The result is a lineup that showcases what a Virginia craft distillery can do, from approachable everyday pours to single-barrel and cask-strength expressions.
