What if learning to read books were approached the same way as schools teach choir students to read music?

For those of you who know me from 'way back, I once wrote many transcriptions of Hot Dance band charts from the 1920's & early '30s. I also have a number of arrangements that I wrote at that time as well in the same genre. I've been asked about these for years and have never had the charts available in a publishable form.

That is soon to change! I have been gradually been engraving these original hand-written arrangements and bit by bit they will become available for sale as I complete them.

One factor in the time it takes to prepare this music is in the inclusive nature of their availability. By that I mean that these charts won't just be for adult bands formatted for Hot Dance (10 players-- saxes, brass, rhythm), but also have parts for collegiate and school bands with solos notated for reference. So you teachers out there will have a source of traditional jazz that will continue to keep this music alive.
