Come see why we're packing the hall! Our four-concert series continues TOMORROW, Sunday, June 14, at 2:00 p.m. at the UU Church of Winchendon, 126 Central Street. The program's theme is "Over the Hills and Through the Woods" as concert-goers will be treated to tunes depicting travel and geography. Selections include such favorites as "The Hills are Alive" and "Climb Every Mountain" from The Sound of Music, Copland's "Appalachian Spring," Grainger's delightful "Children's March," Shostakovich's rollicking "Galop," and the "Magnolia Star" train complete with sound effects and whistles. Dr. Lindsay Bronnenkant (UMass Music Faculty) brings joy and energy to the podium.

Concerts are free, thanks to numerous donations and grants, including the Winchendon Cultural Council. ADA accessible, family-friendly, refreshment available for sale.

What a season opener! Wonderful to have over 150 attend our first concert of the season. We were treated to great lineup of patriotic music marking America's 250th anniversary. The verses of Billings' war hymn Chester filled the sanctuary. Topping it all off was a performance by a revolutionary war-era octet in historic garb. See pictures here and program notes. See you this Sunday at 2 p.m. for "Over the Hills and Through the Woods."

Winchendon Winds is back again in 2026 for more music-making…mark your calendars for every Sunday in June! We’ll be performing June 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 2:00 p.m. at our usual venue, the Unitarian Universalist Church of Winchendon, 126 Central Street.

Conductor Dr. Lindsay Bronnenkant returns for her third season, and has compiled a terrific series of themed concerts. We’ll start off with a “bang” on June 7, with a special concert celebrating America’s 250th. We’ll play patriotic favorites and include a special appearance by a Revolutionary War-era ensemble complete in period uniforms. The following three concerts promise to be just as exciting.

As always, concerts are free (donations most welcome). We’ll offer our usual tasty refreshments and basket raffle opportunities.

Tell all your friends and spend your June Sundays with us!
