Get ready for the lunar eclipse of the Sturgeon Moon this Thursday night. The Sturgeon name comes from Indigenous tribes that caught large numbers of the fish in the Great Lakes at this time of year. In the Wimberley Valley, the prenumbal eclipse will begin at 8:23 PM, partial eclipse will begin at 9:35 PM an the total eclipse will occur at 11:12PM . This week, turn off your lights, go outside and enjoy the beautiful Wimberley Valley night skis.

Just off the beaten path, a short walk from downtown Wimberley, across the scenic Cypress Creek bridge lies the Patsy Glen Bird Refuge.

Take a walk, or a drive, if you are looking for additional FREE, shaded parking....

Wimberley is where life overlaps art and nature. While you're visiting, pop into the Community Center for a look at the Wimberley Valley Art League exhibit, always excellent. (Open weekdays and during weekend events.)
