SHAKESPEARE ON THE RIVER PROGRAM:
AGES 12-18, MACBETH

Our 6th Annual Shakespeare on the River, in partnership with Wimberley Parks & Recreation, performed at Blue Hole Regional Park, will begin its five-week program for students ages 12-18 on July 6th. The students will meet at Central Texas Theatre Academy every day from 10am-5pm, Monday-Friday, to design and build costumes and set, participate in professional theatre workshops, and rehearse for Macbeth. The program will conclude on August 9th after four free public performances at Blue Hole Regional Park. The cost for the entire program is only $350. CTTA’s Shakespeare on the River program has been awarded Best of Hays for Summer Camp for five of its six years! We strive to provide high-quality theatre education in a loving and inclusive environment.

Join us for a 5-class introductory course designed to give our community a behind-the-scenes look at the core departments that make theatre happen!

The first session will serve as an exciting overview of all areas of production! From there, the following 4 classes will dive deeper into two or more departments each session, giving attendees the opportunity to explore the areas that interest them most.

We open Hadestown, Teen Edition tomorrow!!! Tonight, we celebrate our seniors that are graduating from Wimberley High School! We are so extremely proud of all of these phenomenal students! This show is powerful and beautiful, and the performances are STELLAR! We hope you join us this weekend or next for a trip down to Hadestown with us!

Our Fine Arts Micro-school students had their final talent showcase, and what fun it was! We're so very proud of these creative, talented, and loving kiddos! Thank you, Ms Elysia Becken for being such a great Theatre, Art, & Reading teacher this semester! We love you so much!

Chambers Theatre Company is holding auditions for all adult ensemble (ages 16+) , all munchkins (ages 7+), and featured dancers (ages 13+) for the upcoming 2026 Buda Summer Musical production of The Wizard of Oz, a partnership with the City of Buda.
The adults cast in the munchkin ensemble will also be used in other ensemble scenes throughout the show. The 12 children cast will only be used for the featured munchkin scene.

-Munchkin audition for children only- Saturday, January 17th 5-7pm (must sign up on google form)

-Adult Ensemble and Featured Dancer Audition- Sunday, January 18th 2-6pm (must sign up on google form)

No prepared materials are needed for either audition date. Please wear clothes and shoes you can easily dance and move in.

The Buda Summer Musical will be performing July 10-12, 17-19, and 24-26, show times start at 8pm at the City of Buda Park & Amphitheater.
