Katy Kurtzner snagged the Golden Pinecone Award for solving the crime!

Another amazing show for Operation Adopt a Solider at the American Legion in Saratoga Saturday night! Lots of great participation from attendees for “Volunteer of the Year Murder: Par for the Corpse”. Linda Schmeelcke was the master sleuth who helped put the perp behind bars. The Mafrici family, Steven, Cathy and Courtney, and Bob Myers (writer) each took a part as nominators for our Volunteer of the Year candidates. And, for the fifth show in a row, our Doctor was played by Jason Gilbert! He’s really racking up those well-deserved Oscarettes!! We’re sure he has them proudly displayed in his home!

Congratulations to Cliff Seguin, Founder and Chairman of Operation Adopt A Soldier, for being recognized and honored by the Association of the U. S. Army, Uncle Sam Chapter, for his outstanding and unwavering support of our troops!!
A little background on Cliff: When Cliff’s son Steven was deployed with the 368th Combat Engineers, Vermont Army National Guard to Iraq, Cliff and his wife Phyllis sent a care package with cookies and such to him. Steven asked that, in the future, could they also send care packages to his 7 platoon members,which he readily did. This was the beginning of a 23 year organization that has sent an estimated 400,000 care packages to service members serving around the world. In addition, AOS has also expanded its mission to helping soldiers and veterans locally that are in need.
Adirondack flatline Players have performed 4 murder mystery shows at AOS fundraisers. The next one is coming up on Saturday, March 14. Stay tuned for more information!
