Update: The home stretch til very important (Good) life events is now occurring. I'm working on a project that I hope will encapsulate where my woodworking journey began (I'm making a sword) and what I've learned since (it's going to have multiple different pieces of wood to it and it's going to be as detailed as I can make it--the fact it won't be made of elmwood should make this all easier lol). I need it done by late March, so it's go time!

I haven't made anything in a while, my friends. Been fighting Pneumonia. I'm 80% through it, though so that's good. Hope to start a project or two in November or December.

First post in a LONG time, I know! I've always wanted to make a heater shield, and just recently bought myself a Jigsaw. WOW does it make curving cuts easy! A bit TOO easy, really. Anyway, here's my first Heater shield, made from excess siding from my renovation project on the house.

I'm still working on a lot of woodworking projects that could be termed Fantasy or D&D-themed. This week I was reminded that woodworking can be much more dangerous than other forms of creating art. Cut my fingertip open while trying to do relief carving on the handle of what will be an Elven-inspired short sword or Archer's offhand weapon. Thankful for decent healthcare provided by my work!
Also still working on
A dining/gaming table, made of Ashwood and Black Walnut locally sourced and NOT dimensional lumber anywhere (never made a table before)
A druid/mountain elf-style throne/armchair (Mostly oak but also probably either Black Walnut and or Ashwood.
A Gladius of oak with fire and lightning "enchantments" (basically low grade semiprecious stones imbedded on the blade and in the handle as well as copper wire accenting the pommel and guard
A Cutlass of the Depths in Ashwood (Naval/sea creature inspired). Still detailing the hilt. Already painted the blade.
And a few staffs of undetermined depiction.
