In honor of his 20 year tenure as Artistic Director as well as in celebration of the band's 40th Anniversary, Dan Bassett will be serving as one of the Grand Marshals for the Stonewall Pride Parade on Saturday, June 20th at 8pm. The band will also be marching in the parade. Join us to celebrate music, visibility, and pride!

As Artistic Director of the South Florida Pride Concert Band, Dan has used the power of music to bring people together, celebrate LGBTQ+ culture, and strengthen community connections. Through creativity, leadership, and a passion for the arts, he continues to inspire Pride, joy, and belonging.

Start your day on Saturday, June 13th with Mimosa's and enjoy the music from the South Florida Pride Jazz Band at 10am. Come get your glass ready to toast as we prepare to set sail for this annual day of fundraising for our community!

Guests will board the SunDream Yacht Catalina for a scenic cruise along the beautiful Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway. The experience begins with a champagne reception and live jazz from the South Florida Pride Band Jazz Ensemble, followed by open bar, dancing, and a delicious onboard lunch.

After docking, the celebration continues at BOKAMPER’S with our official tea dance, featuring great music, surprises, and plenty of ways to keep the party going all afternoon long.

Be sure to check us out in the Stonewall Pride Parade on Saturday, June 20th. The marching band and color guard will be out in full force. Congrats to our outgoing Artistic Director, Dan Bassett, for being selected to serve as one of the Grand Marshals to mark his amazing 20 years as our director and to honor the band's 40th anniversary (1986-2026).
