Wilsonville High School Theatre Department Wilsonville High School Theatre Department is chaired by WVHS teacher Jason Katz. Our Thespian Program is co-led by WVHS teacher John Fitzgerald.

Over the past 22 years that I have been producing shows at Wilsonville High School, I have been fortunate to have had the support to collaborate with industry professionals and their impact on the quality of our shows has been significant. These folks have set amazing examples for the students in terms of raising the bar of what a high school show can be. Audience members often comment that our shows exceed their expectations. This is in large part thanks to the many talented and hard-working pros who have gone above and beyond their modest compensation year after year. My intention has been to inspire students to work as hard as the adults and collaborate with them, which has provided unique and rewarding experiences for class after class of students. Hundreds of students are involved in theatre every year at WHS and I know that they have appreciated the support they have received, which has allowed them to gain self-confidence that might not have been possible otherwise. There are too many professionals to mention here, in taking 22 years of production teams into account. But I want all of them to know how much I have appreciated their hard work and level of commitment to creating quality theatre for everyone involved.

Mr. Phillips is strict with everyone at school except Prissy Andrews. He is especially tough on the new orphan girl, Anne Shirley. Meanwhile Gilbert Blythe always seems to get a pass. Mr. Phillips is played by Axel Lauthner, Anne Shirley is played by Taylor Nichols and Gilbert Blythe is played by Robbie Osborn.
