Located on the southern end of Jackson Hole in Hoback, Wyoming, Three Hearted Studio offers pro audio recording, mixing and production in a mountainside cabin setting. I’m a performing singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist aiming to provide a relaxed, inspiring vibe to capture your next solo or band project. For either live or multi-track, the main log cabin studio room is a natural sounding

acoustic space with just enough color and ambience. Since 2006, I've been a recording artist learning the trade with an engineer's heart. From impressionable sessions with top-notch musical minds in Austin as a member of Screen Door Porch, to hundreds of mobile live recordings and collaborations along the way, every project deserves a quality reproduction and a fresh ear. There's also an incredible network of talented session players in Teton Co to tap for textures.

New music from The Brothers Druthers! Mixed, Mastered and overdub recording here at Three Hearted. Foundational tracks recorded at Teal Turtle Studio in Frankfort, KY.

For as little as $6 on BandCamp, you'll get two songs to stream and/or download in high-resolution formats + liner notes + lyrics. Support the project while putting gas in the tour tank!

These songs were inspired by an epic road trip when we were 21 — our first time experiencing the Western US/Canada and 13 national parks, navigating it all with an atlas, a tent, a few hundred bucks, a beastly 1990 Toyota Camry — no cell phones, no hotel rooms — lots of hiking, camping, hot springs, campfire jams. Lyrical themes were fully realized with the help of the daily journals we kept, especially the kindness of strangers and the upsides of happenstance.

Much love to Frankfort compadres Jaret Ellis (for the rad drumming and percussion) and Marcus Brothwell at Teal Turtle Studio for grooving the bass and helping us capture the foundational tracks in one day.

Rhodes + Hammond/Leslie + Synth day in the Three Hearted control room with Mike Patton. Forthcoming Mystery Machine material is now elevated, padded, epic-fed, ambiently adorned, weirded out. We tracked so much material our heads were spinning like a Leslie rotary horn. We put Leslie in the closet triple-mic'd (TLM 103, c414 on upper horns and Sm7b lower rotor drum). '74 Rhodes went direct thru Grace Felix and re-amped thru '67 Blackface Super Reverb twin mic'd (V13, m160). Churning butter never sounded so good!

Bunch of fun sessions here at the Three Hearted cabin this fall. Wish I had photos of everyone (!) but here are a few captures on the fly. For the last two weeks, been mixing and mastering an LP for that was recorded live in the cabin, all in the same room. It's really hittin'! A few significant upgrades in the works as we head into winter sessions. Let the light in!
