The City of Wilson Pickleball Facility at J. Burt Gillette Athletic Complex (3238 Corbett Ave NW) will host two major regional pickleball tournaments this October, bringing top collegiate players and senior athletes from across North Carolina and the Southeast to Wilson.

DUPR North Carolina Collegiate Super Regional
Saturday, October 17 – Sunday, October 18, 2026
Saturday (10 AM – 8 PM) | Sunday (8 AM – 4 PM)
297 collegiate athletes representing top schools—including FAU, FSU, Alabama, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Tech, ECU, Duke, and High Point—will compete for $6,000 in prize money and 3 qualifying bids to The Nationals in April.

North Carolina Senior Games State Finals Pickleball Championship
Thursday, October 22 – Tuesday, October 27, 2026
this state championship tournament gathers qualified athletes aged 50 and older from across North Carolina. Top finishers earn qualifications for the National Senior Games.

Friday, Oct. 23 :Mixed Doubles (Ages 50–64)
Saturday, Oct. 24: Singles Competition (All Men & Women, 50+)
Sunday, Oct. 25: Mixed Doubles (Ages 65+)
Monday, Oct. 26: Men’s and Women’s Doubles (Ages 65–74)
Tuesday, Oct. 27:: Men’s and Women’s Doubles (Ages 75–100+)

Volunteers Needed for NC Senior Game: Anyone interested in volunteering, please contact Jordan Phillips at [email protected].

Both events are open to spectators who want to support local and visiting athletes at Wilson's premier pickleball facility.

Also, don't forget that Greater Wilson Rotary Park has three courts open during normal park hours for public play! join Wilson Parks and Recreation (it's free!) to see when courts are closed and when they'll open up during these events. Most days all 26 courts at the COW Pickleball Facility will be used, but as the tournament teams lessen, courts will open up.

Fast feet, quick decisions, and non-stop action on the court. Registration is officially open for Wilson Parks & Recreation Youth Futsal. Whether your athlete is looking to sharpen their footwork, stay active through the winter, or dominate the hard court, this season is where skill meets speed.

Registration Deadline: November 30
Practices Begin: December 12
Games Begin: January 2
Fee: $50 for City Residents / $75 for Non-Residents

Visit the WebTrac portal on the city website or see the flyer posted to secure a spot before registration closes on November 30. You can also register at Recreation Park Center or Reid Street Center.

Athletes and unified partners from Wilson, Pitt, Wake, Brunswick and Wayne Counties attended today’s events! Big thanks to the volunteers, referees and fans that came out to support this event!

Barnes Street Center will be closed due to maintenance Tuesday, October 13, through Thursday, October 15. Several programs will be temporarily relocated during this time. Please review the schedule below carefully.
