If you missed Vision Community Theatre Group, Inc.’s production, MOTOWN R***E 2022, on Saturday, June 25th at the Boykin Center, you REALLY missed a good show. Members of the cast showed up, showed out, rocked the house and brought the house down! There were show stopping performances and numerous standing ovations.

To the cast and crew, thank you for giving it your all+. To the Wilson Community and those who traveled from out of town, thank you for supporting us and being a part of our 15th Anniversary Celebration.

Johnnie "Jahni" Evans, co-founder of Vision Community Theatre Group, Inc., is a native Pennsylvanian. She enjoys the magic of working backstage & helping with costuming, stating, "It is like revisiting times gone by through costuming." She has a deep respect & appreciation for theater & the talent & commitment required when compared to acting in a movie or a television show. Johnnie has always enjoyed theater & the magic of the lights, glitter & glamor of Broadway. "If you have not been to a Broadway show, once you see one, you will be hooked forever", she says.
Jahni wrote & directed, Every Now & Then: A Historical Perspective on Black America, Crossroads which was used to launch VCTG’s youth division, The Young Thespian's Guild and Shout Hallelujah!!
No stranger to the stage, Jahni performed in the Playhouse of Wilson's “Millennium Hit Parade” & “To Kill A Mockingbird.” She performed in “The Amen Corner”, a Shoestring Theater production directed by the late Bob Johnson. Jahni majored in Theater/Speech while attending Temple University in Pennsylvania. She retired on July 2021 after serving many years as counselor at Wells Elementary School.
