Anna joined the Festival as an intern during her last semester at UNCW before she was hired full-time as our Events Coordinator in 2023. Her favorite event to work on is the Street Fair because it brings so many people together and offers free programming and activities to the community. Anna is incredibly grateful for her committee chairs and volunteers!

One of the things the Festival prides itself on is our working partnerships with other organizations and non-profits in town. We do this to help highlight all of the important work these organizations do for our region, while expanding the Festival reach and spirit.
New this year the Festival partnered with the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA, where we jointly hosted our first Battleship Boom & Bloom Fireworks Bonanza - the BEST place to watch the Festival Saturday night fireworks! We couldn't be more thrilled it was a sold out event in its first year!
This past week, the Battleship invited Festival staff to tour the ship and learn about its importance during World Word II. A Festival team member even found a piece of her family's history aboard the ship.
What’s your Battleship experience?
We couldn't be more thrilled to share with you the live podcast taping of "Got it From My Momma" with Jennifer Vickery Smith, hosting one of our favorite mothers- Connie Rice!
