Our Story

We are a small Cartoon and 2D Animation Studio registered in Delaware. We started as a small freelance team in El Salvador (a third world country). Back in 2014 Edmundo Landaverde (One of the Founders) won an animation prize of $30,000 to do a project which he had no business experience to do, so he looked for Rodrigo Flamenco (another founder) who had some business experience already through a web & app development studio which was working online with many international clients. They joined forces to do that project, however, none had the specific experience to do it.

So they looked on the internet for people who had, and they found a very similar project who did pretty well in Kickstarter and emailed the owner to interview him and ask him some questions, he said “yes”. That person ended up being Fred Seibert, the founder of Frederator Studios, one of the most important people in the animation industry.

They did the interview and through that they resolved a lot of doubts, they also got access to the “Channel Frederator Network” which had a lot of resources to help them in their project. Once they did that interview they followed up interviewing more and more people. After 1 year they had 8 interviews with very important people in the industry, they had won another $55K project and had experienced a lot of little successes. But they still didn’t had a website, a logo, or even a name.

They got a client which was very interested in working with the team, but they had to have a corporate image, and they realized it was time to setup a business. So they created Frame Freak Studio, they had a logo and a simple website. They understood very well they still had a lot of disadvantages so they started using tools and techniques learned through the tech industry to run their business and find new clients and new opportunities.
