We are thrilled that so many folks have joined the PPW page in the last few months. In an average month we receive 200-300 letters from jails and prisons across the country sharing poetry. We write feedback to each submission, so that slows our social media work down a bit. If you know someone inside who you want to encourage to do creative writing please check out this resource page on our website. It includes how folks can get in touch with us. Message us with questions or notes of encouragement! We love both. http://prisonpoetryworkshop.org/resources/

We’d like to invite you to reach out to prison poets across the country and invite them participate in the Prison Poetry Workshop radio program. They can submit their poetry and it may be presented on our national radio broadcast. Your poems will also be posted on our website in a blog dedicated t...

Hi all, if anyone with a record wants to connect and share inspiration, needs help, wants to give help to others, is looking for work, wants to be a part of upcoming celebrity events etc Commissary Club launched (literally days ago) The Commissary Club app for iOS to facilitate all of this! Here’s the link if anyone wants to join the club:
Hey guys, I go to this event every week and I wanted to share it: Tha yard is a live podcast/zoom event that is hosted by excons, and has guests who have done time. The whole thing is about sharing stories from time inside, and life after prison; I've discovered a lot of helpful resources and made some cool connections, so I wanted to share it with y'all. There’s a live stream of Tha Yard happening Thursday at (5pm PST) on FB--and every Thursday after (it's a weekly event). Check out the live stream here: www.facebook.com/CommissaryClub
Believe in yourself, there is no limit to what you can achieve.💪 A lot of people here are always doubting themselves. Let me tell you, if you ever for one day doubt yourself then success will not attract you. Success is a thing of the mind. Once you think it, it starts to manifest. Do not doubt yourself anymore. Believe you can achieve great things. Is only then you see yourself achieve exploits. I welcome all of us here and assure us of making profits here 💯💯✊✊

My loved one hasn't received my mail in weeks! Its been terrifying. We are discussing solutions around this for the LA County prisons on Commisary Club btw. https://www.commissary.club If we all put our voices together and talk to warden, we can bring change.
What are the specific challenges people are dealing with?

Commissary Club has a lot features to help bind our community of formerly incarcerated together.

It's essentially a place to connect with mentors & gain job exposure, as well as private celeb events.

If anyone wants to launch on early access list, check out the link below.
