Join us Saturday for this month's special cause - a Pawsitive Mission.  

A Pawsitive Mission is an animal welfare program created to assist pet parents in New Hanover County, NC, who are facing financial hardship to provide veterinary care to their pets during an illness or after an injury.

Euthanasia or surrendering a pet is often considered given the financial burden of veterinary medical care. The primary goal of A Pawsitive Mission is to keep beloved pets with their families by providing assistance for care with the help of generous donations. The organization is currently raising funds for this program that will roll out in Winter 2023.

The night will feature some of the region's favorite stand up comedians, followed by a chance to 'pie' your favorite.  

Pies will be $3 or two for $5 to toss in the face of your favorite (or least favorite) comedian.  Pie and ticket proceeds will go to A Pawsitive Mission.

NILES ABSTON is a stand-up comedian-filmmaker from Flowood, Mississippi. Niles is a staff writer for Season 3 of the hit FX series DAVE. He also wrote, directed and starred in “Notice to Quit” which was Vulture’s Must See Comedy Shorts of March 2022. On the stand-up side, Niles produced his debut hour comedy special independently called "GIRLS DON'T TWERK TO JOKES", which is available to stream on YouTube. He also went on his first country wide tour independently last summer, which sold out, and will be back on the road this summer. Niles recently taped for Comedy Central’s The Standups Season 10, which aired on Thursday, May 12th @ 9AM PT and was featured in the First Second Annual Netflix is a Joke Festival.  

Niles has also been featured in Vulture // Someone Order Niles Abston’s Pilot Stat & Vulture // The Comedians You Should and Will Know in 2022 .

This weekend -- Joe DeRosa!

Joe DeRosa has made a name for himself in comedy and entertainment with six top-ten charting stand-up albums and a multitude of performances on television, radio, and in comedy clubs across the country and around the world. Joe’s most recent one hour special titled You Let Me Down premiered on Comedy Central in 2017, which he wrote, performed and directed. He currently recurs on AMC’s Better Call Saul as crooked veterinarian Dr. Caldera and hosts two heavily followed podcasts: We’ll See You In Hell with Patrick Walsh, where the two review genre movies, and Taste Buds—a food debate show—with Impractical Jokers’ Sal Vulcano. The latter is distributed through DeRosa and Vulcano’s co-owned No Press Productions Network. Other select credits include: Inside Amy Schumer, Louie, Bored to Death, Chelsea Lately, Grand Theft Auto V, and two half-hour Comedy Central specials. Joe has also written, directed, and starred in a series of web shorts. Additionally, his writing has been featured on HBO’s Crashing, Comedy Central’s Jeff and Some Aliens and Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer, as well as The Pete Holmes Show.

Join us as we bid farewell to Port City's Top Comic 2022 - Matt Coghlan - before he leaves us to further his comedy career in New York.

The 7PM show will feature Chris Rivoli from Raleigh, and local favorites MT Bottles and Brad Allred.  Chris Rivoli will also appear in the 9:30PM show, along with comedic giants Steve Marcinowski and Ellie Coleman.  Wilmington's favorite funny host, Zack Burk, will emcee the whole night of laughs.

Hurricane Ian is a big jerk and changed our plans for the weekend. Casey's flights were canceled and she will not be joining us this weekend. HOWEVER! She WILL be performing December 16 and 17, so you haven't missed your chance to see her.

Dead Crow Comedy and Lush Garden Bar proudly present an October installment Live NC Color – a LouisTeeMedia and MT Bottles Comedy variety show to bring laughs, tears, and get the audience moving in their seats.

Festivities will kick off at noon in Lush's Garden with an outdoor market featuring some of Wilmington’s favorite vendors!

This month’s show, starting at 3 PM, will be hosted by D&D Sluggers, with comedians Wills Maxwell, Jr., Meghan Cook, and Jazmine - followed by poetry and spoken word by The 5th Horseman and hip hop by SkyBlew.

THIS WEEKEND - CASEY BALSHAM!

Casey Balsham is a stand up comedian living and breathing in New York City. You’ve seen her at various club all over the country and as a regular in the New York City comedy scene. On weekdays, you can catch her warming up crowds for shows on Comedy Central and for The Problem with Jon Stewart on Apple TV. She appeared on Gotham Comedy Live twice and in a Monistat commercial you can only find online. 

You have heard her on her weekly podcast Shady S**t, as well as on her debut album Son of a Barb which hit #1 on iTunes. She recently wrote and starred in a one woman show called “Casey Balsham Does a Thing” and was the lead in the off Broadway musical, HA! In between Instagram breaks, she wrote her first special Inconceivable which will be coming out later this year.
