🎬 LAST CALL FOR CASTING — Reel Obsession 🎬

Our casting call for Reel Obsession: A Tribute to the Films That Never Let Us Go closes THIS SUNDAY NIGHT.

We’re looking for burlesque, drag, sideshow, circus, live vocals, musicians, and all other strange and spectacular acts inspired by the cult films that rewired your brain chemistry. Horror. Camp. Weird cinema. Midnight movies. The films you watched way too young and never recovered from.

Join us Saturday, July 18th at Theatre N for a night of cinematic obsession, chaos, glamour, and cult movie love letters brought to life onstage.

Friday night was something really special. Thank you to every performer, our stage crew, the Theatre N staff, and every beautifully sad little soul who came out to support Theatre N Cabaret. Seeing the theatre packed with so much energy, emotion, and chaos reminded us exactly why we do this.

From emo anthems to devastating ballads to absolute onstage mayhem, you all made Sad Kid Showcase unforgettable. Thank you for singing along, screaming along, and celebrating weird art with us. 🖤

But there’s no time to emotionally recover just yet… 👁️🎞️
Applications for our next Theatre N Cabaret variety show, Reel Obsession: A Tribute to the Films That Never Let Us Go, are officially OPEN for one more week. Casting closes Sunday, May 31st, so if you’ve been thinking about applying, now’s the time.

The Scene Queen of Chaotic Choreography and founder of Not a Phase Productions, Celtic Curses blends classical ballet, theatre, pole dance, and two-stepping into her burlesque performances that are sensual, spooky, and impossible to look away from.

For Sad Kid, she’s bringing The MySpace Scene Queen to life with Taking Back Sunday’s “MAKEDAMNSURE” — complete with the dramatic hair flips, angst, and a bedazzled microphone Adam Lazzara himself would fight over. The patron saint of cute chaos is making her return to the Theatre N Cabaret stage.

Erisaka Blu has been performing since 2012, and hails from Wilmington DE, by way of Philadelphia. As the leader of Scarlett Mafia she brings nerdlesque to life with her own brand of body positivity, and a love for the theatrics and over the top Facial expressions.

This Friday she steps into the world of Persona for a performance to AFI’s “Beautiful Thieves” — a transformation dripping in rhinestones, stolen identities, dangerous elegance, and just a little bit of blade work.

Trust us… you’re gonna want to see this one unfold live.

Performing to the iconic “King for a Day,” Valek is serving twisted pageantry, theatrical attitude, and a jester who may be ready to seize the throne.

Graceful. Gritty. Glorious.

Please welcome co-producer MasoKiss to the Sad Kid Showcase stage.

Known as “The Industrial Ballerina, Who’s Always On Point(e),” MasoKiss has been bringing her signature blend of classical dance and alternative edge to burlesque stages since 2013. A winner of Philadelphia’s Burlesque Battle Royale and performer at festivals from Boston to New Orleans, she combines precision, power, and sparkle into every performance.

This time, she’s stepping into the funeral procession of My Chemical Romance’s “Helena” — a song and music video steeped in grief, romance, and the haunting beauty of a ballerina in mourning. Expect elegance, emotion, and a little bit of black parade magic.

We’re thrilled to welcome some incredible performers making their Theatre N Cabaret debut at Sad Kid Showcase this Friday. These artists have been tearing up stages across the region for years, and now they’re bringing their talents to our weird little family. 🖤

🎙️ Belladonna Anastasia - With music in her blood, this third generation singer-songwriter and South Philadelphia native has built quite the resume in entertainment. From local music theatre and indie films to weddings, corporate events, and even international performances, BellaDonna Anastasia has done it all. You may have even caught this queen singing for her life on Netflix’s Sing On! Please give a warm welcome to BellaDonna Anastasia as she performs “My Immortal” by Evanescence in the most gothic, elegant, emotional way possible.

🖤 The De Vils - This South Jersey burlesque troupe is no hoax. This 3-piece ensemble blends seduction, storytelling, and movement into a performance you won’t forget. Performing to “MONSTER” by Chandler Leighton, their act tells the story of radical self acceptance as an innocent girl battles — and ultimately embraces — the monster inside herself.

✨ LoLo - LoLo has always been dancing, but found her newest passion through flow arts. Combining beautiful props with the energy of pop punk and post-hardcore music, LoLo brings a unique variety performance style to the stage. This Friday she’ll perform a veil fan act to “War Machine” by Dance Gavin Dance.

🎸 Renegade - “American Idiot made me who I am so I owe my life to it.”
Armed with nothing but a guitar, a spotlight, and enough emotion to crack the room wide open, Renegade brings a raw stripped-down tribute to the music that shaped a generation of sad kids.

This Friday, the stage gets a little stranger, louder, and infinitely more absurd. Join us at Sad Kid Showcase as we welcome the incomparable Roxanne Rohls to the lineup.

Roxanne Rohls is a drag performer, emcee, cautionary example, and nonbinary showthing. Don't call her ridiculous, she identifies as absurd. Once described as a mix of Rita Hayworth and Don Rickles, Roxanne is the fun aunt you wish you knew and the creepy clown you wish you didn't. West Chester PA Bartenders' Ball Entertainer of the Year 2017 & 2018, Miss Everything, Delaware 2019, and Miss Chester County Pride 2023.

Expect chaos. Expect comedy. Expect glamour held together with spite and rhinestones.
