What a fun week we’ve had previewing Wind, Rain, & Tail: a Winnie the Pooh opera written by the incredible Dr. Bettsy Curtis! 🤩👏

We are thrilled to unveil the official artwork for Opera Wilmington’s Summer 2026 double bill: Puccini’s Suor Angelica and Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana.

This striking design was created by Tori J. Thomas (torijthomasdesign.com), whose artistry captures the emotional heartbeat of these two powerful operas.

Happy World Opera Day!! (Though honestly… we think every day is a great day for opera! 🌹

Here’s a wee look back at some of our favorite moments from past productions: La Bohème, The Magic Flute, La Traviata, Tosca, and of course, Don Giovanni. Yes, many of them feature iconic death scenes… but hey, that’s opera! 🤩
