NC Film This page is here to share updates, breaking news, and everything NC Film THE GUIDE LINES FOR YOUR VIDEOS AND OR EMAILS:

Making your video is simple.

This is a grassroots campaign to rally support for the continued success of the film and television industry in the great state of North Carolina and to put an end to the “Sunset” by keeping the NC film incentives indefinitely. There will be a series of “Call to Action” videos relating to every level of what is needed to inform the state legislators to continue to support this industry. The first

“Call to Action” video (above) is to rally the thousands of crew members across the state. These would include workers in the following departments: electricians, transportation, grips, greens, paint, plaster, special fx, visual fx, office staff, locations, props, set decorators, accounting staff, production assistants, caterers, craft service providers, AD department, Art department, background actors, etc. The second ”Call to Action” video will be to rally the vendor support which would include but not limit: car rental agencies, hotels, consignment shops, antique stores, rental property, heavy equipment (cranes, condors, generators, etc.), truck rentals, sound equipment, tent rentals, trailer rentals, picture car rentals, copier and print shops, office supply companies, office equipment, fabric stores, lumber, hardware, metal suppliers, furniture stores, gas companies (propane, diesel, unleaded fuel), local off duty police officers, caterers, real estate, landscaping and plant nurseries, restaurants, shipping providers, internet and cable providers, etc. The third “Call to Action” video will be to rally voters that are affected by direct spending from the films and television shows across the state through tourism, local “mom & Pop” shops, restaurants, bed and breakfast, hotels, etc… Anything that is touched and affects the local economy. Use a video camera, Smartphone or your we**am on your laptops or tablets. Please keep it under two minutes preferably 60 seconds or less. Be concise, but keep it real. This is not a left or right issue so please keep politics out. This is about jobs and keeping North Carolina’s economy healthy, so keep it positive. This is putting a North Carolina voter’s face to your email which will have a stronger impact in getting your message across. Your videos and or emails should include:

1. Who you are and what county you are in, how the film industry affects you and your love ones’ livelihood and that you are a voter. You might want to include how it would affect you if the film industry leaves NC. Most importantly, tell them you want an end to the “Sunset” and to keep the NC film incentives indefinitely.

2. Make sure you select the legislators in your county when emailing. Make sure to include your name and address in the email, but NOT your video.

3. If you choose to make a video, upload it to YouTube and begin your title with “NC Film.” Make sure to copy/paste the YouTube link in your email. Let us know that you made your video and what county you are in. Post your link to the video in the comment section below. So, let’s get this going!! If you know someone who would like to help but does not have access to internet or video, get them to call their legislators!
